A hurricane is a tropical cyclone forming around warm waters and can reach wind speeds of 150 miles per hour.
they are categorized into 5 different categories.
           Hurricane Categories:
tropical storm:  winds of 39-43 mph
category 1 hurricane: winds 74-95 mph  minimal damage to environment
category 2 hurricane: winds 96-110 mph
category 3 hurricane: winds 111-130 mph
category 4 hurricane: winds 131-155 mph
category 5 hurricane: winds 156 mph and up heavy damage to land and environment

Hurricane anatomy and direction
The most dangerous part of a hurricane is actually depended on the direction, if a hurricane is headed north than the most dangerous area of the hurricane is the right front part of the hurricane.
Parts of the hurricane:
Exhaust: hot air drawn into the atmosphere
Storm cloud:winds spiraling in the upper atmosphere
Eye: Cool air descends into the 20-mile-wide eye, creating a small center of calm weather.
Eye wall: the storms fiercest winds, The eye wall experiences the most terrible hurricanes with extremely heavy rains. This place is the ring of clouds and thunderstorms occur around the eye.
Spiraling winds: In the hurricane's lower realms, air flows in towards the center and whirls upward. These counterclockwise winds gain speed as they approach the eye.
Rain-bands: A series of clouds that surround the eye wall of the hurricane, giving it the pinwheel look

Inside the Hurricane
When inside the hurricane, mass rain occurs in all areas near
 the hurricane. which leads to flooding depending on the amount
 of rain and location.flooding also causes landslides and
 mudslides if a hurricane hits hills or mountains. which cause
 more destruction. When the hurricane hits land, the probability of tornadoes to form is more likely. Due to the change in wind direction and the sheer force of the winds.

Hurricane Facts:
1. For a hurricane to survive, the water temperature must be at least 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit and the surface winds must converge
2.  About 90 percent of the deaths that occur during hurricanes result from drowning in floods
3.  A huge hurricane can release energy equivalent to 10 atomic bombs per second
4. The National Hurricane Center was the first organisation to give ‘female’ names to the hurricanes in 1953.  However, they stopped this practice in 1978.
