Dylan Guevara: Architectural Design 1Fibonacci spiral: This is a Fibonacci spiral and this was the very start to our project and it was a exercise to furthermore understand the process of the sequence of numbers. The squares would start at a 1 by 1 inch square and then would go all the way to a 8 by 8 inch square.
Landscape: My landscape that i was assigned was the prairie, and when i was given the landscape i was brought to a cluster of continuous thoughts on how i could arrange my plains in my model. I knew that the landscape was a very open and wide so i wanted to have my plains in more of a horizontal view so that i could get a great,wide open view point. On the other hand i had to factor in the weather with sunny and a fair share of rainy weather. So i decided to have my bigger plains in a horizontal angle and use my smaller ones a a bit bore of stable and protection from rain.

these 2 models are the bases to the Fibonacci cube and the third model is what is painted red thin the final model. these models include a 5 by 8 inch piece, a 2 by 3 inch piece and a 3 by 5 piece

Project 2
Our Project: Our job as a class was to all come together to create a sustainable neighborhood built to suit the needs for a millennial. My job as a single person, my job was to create a sustainable home that would go inside the neighborhood. Sustainability means avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance. We as individuals where given one of twenty eight lots and we had to have out house correspond with the lot to get the best sun and the best opportunity to retrieve maximum sustainability.

Before i figured out my home, i had to figure more out about the millennial culture. I had to learn about my buyer before i learned about what i was going to design. I figured out that the birth years for a millennial are 1981-1996 (22-37 years old). I also learned that they are more modern day people. Therefore i thought of making a poster that would mach the millennial generation.

The picture to the right is The two rough sketches of two ideas that i had in mind for the project. The one on the top is the one that i went though on and went on to the next step with. The bottom one was a good idea but wasn't that great of a house for sustainability reasons.

This was my final model for my sustainable home. This was all of my ideas from day one that i was able to bring from my on to a table. I wanted to go with a more simple, more boxy design because it was more simple and more sustainable. And i have some trees for for simple sustainability.
