Western Forest Around Route 66
Geography
The Western forest lies in between the southern grassland and the arid lands. The area is mountainous and and has large tree populations. In New Mexico the Western Forest is on the western side of the state and then continues in to the eastern part of Arizona.

Climate
The area receives about 10 to 15 inches of rain a year. Since the area is mountainous this area receives close to 30 inches of snowfall a year. The increased elevations allows the area to receive large amounts of sun light.
Native Vegetation
The vegetation trails off from the arid lands and begins to have taller trees and fills plant life.
