Researchso extensive research was done to create a memorial that represented the people that were hung and we were also tasked with making wood one of the main elements that we have to use so we got to work researching different types of wood and the history behind the witch trials and on of the main focuses i want is that during the trials the people that were hung or imprisoned a lot of people didn't see them as people they just saw them as witches and not people they we only people the worship satin and people of the devil but if they keep saying no no i would never worship such a bad man they would think there lying and would ether hang them or imprison them and if they just admit they would hang or imprison them so most people coveted died or were put in prison

Final concept design

I want people to have emotion when visiting the memorial for them to feel pressure from the trees forming around you some kind of paranoia and some kind of openness at the well you'll go down the stairs and go into the darkness just as the people went into darkness all that time ago.

Including Everyone
a point I like to show is that I like to include everyone and I wanted to include everyone but I had to redesign my platform and the design I chose was having an elevator that would meet flush with the original path and changing to a wood and when your on the platform the trees clear an you'll bee met with a sense of clarity and you'll walk in the elevator and its made of glass so you'll still see clear and then you slowly be lowered till all you see is darkness.

Final Designs
when we got to work on are final concept design and this is the design I chose to further develop in to a make and one of the changes I had to make was for the how you get lower into the ground and how I wanted everyone to experience the same thing and my first design was a spiral stair case and how a person who cant walk or has trouble walking couldn't have the same experience so I designed an elevator that'll lower you into a tunnel and you would walk out at the end of the memorial and the main focus I wanted for people to feel the same as the people from the trees caving into the the openness from the end of the platform and the darkness from being lowered in to the tunnel
