Trinity River Corridor

The Trinity River Corridor is a public works project that began in the early 2000's. The project aims to accomplish a multitude of things, flood protection, environmental restoration, recreation, major transportation, and economic development.

Trails

Across the Continental Avenue Bridge going back into the city, there is the Trinity Strand Trail, a 2.5 mile long trail that goes through the city and connects to Katy Trail, a trail running even deeper into the city. Also there's the 10K Levee-Top Trail, the trail the runs under the site. Each year there is the Annual Trinity River Levee Run, it starts goes over the Margret Hunt Hill Bridge and towards the site then onto the trail.

Trinity Lakes

Sometime in 2016 they plan to have an actual lake place under the site. Under the site will still have the Levee-top trail and the lake beside that.
