Manuel Corral: Architectural Design I
Project 01: Fibonacci Cube
In this project our subject was to take the Fibonacci Spiral or Sequence which is 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 and so on. This sequence can be seen in several architectural buildings and in nature. The numbers we used for this project were 2, 3, 5, and 8. We made a 8 by 8 inch square and cut out three planes. Each plane were different sizes which are 2 by 3, 3 by 5, and 5 by 8.

Project 2: Border Tower
This project is based on a tower that could communicate across the border from the U.S and Mexico Border. Our Final Cube from project 1 with some modifications would be made into a functional tower. There would be two towers, one tower would be in the Mexico side and the other would be on the U.S. side. We made some research of tower structures and ways we would get up and down the tower. I decided that the two towers would communicate with each other by flags on the long pole on the image (each flag would a meaning). I used a ladder as transportation for the tower because its efficient as transportation for getting up and down the tower.

Every line weight has its meaning in the image above from lightest to heaviest. The lighter the line weight the farther the object is, the heavier the line weight the closer the object is.
This image is a research project that represents and has a definition behind it. The reasoning behind the cracking is to show things that are being affected by the border. The Mexican flag shows the culture coming from México to the U.S. The drawing shows hat the main conflict that cause other problems is the border. The U.S. and México Border is the main conflict because the U.S. wastes money on the border when it could be used for something useful for the country. Also no matter what the border becomes the México people wont stop and will refuse to not go cross the U.S. and México Border. In my opinion the two towers will help to solve the problem because it will bring people together and the towers will have a fun and efficient way of communicating.
