The TECC|East Architecture Studios are a part of Lewisville ISD's career and technical education program. The architecture program is comprised of five different studio classes that allow students to engage in an immersive, design-based currum. We operate on a non-traditional high school campus to provide learning experiences for students who will serve as the next generation of global game-changers. Our job is to inspire and encourage future design professionals to positively change the world in which we all live. We accomplish this by maintaining a dynamic, fertile, and challenging environment in which students are expected to observe carefully, think critically, and experiment with abandon.
In the TECC|East Architecture Studios, we have discarded conventional tools and habits of traditional education to favor a pursuit of creativity, critical thinking, and professionalism. We solve problems with a multitude of possible answers. We take on tough, real-world challenges. We critically comment on the characteristics of current and future culture. We understand history...then transform it into something that is our own. We strive to think for ourselves. We seek to creatively break the rules.
