Lucas Huckeba: Architectural Design 2
Project 01: LISDOLA Design Package
For this year in my Architecture 2 class, I had the opportunity to re-design the Trail Signs for LISDOLA. You may know it better by its full name Lewisville Independent School District Outdoor Learning Area. the reason we were contacted by LISDOLA was because a lot of their infastructure was in desperate need of being repaired, but we took it a step farther and redesigned it. the reason for this was because it wasn't just damaged it was also very outdated.

the two designs above were chosen by LISDOLA because of their simple but realistic design.
Moving Forwards With the Two Designs
The adjustments I made to the designs were to make it to were they could be moved easily but at the same time durable.
AutoCAD design
This was one of my final trail sign designs for LISDOLA but was decided by the staff to be trashed as it just wasn't what they were looking for in a trail sign.
|
This was my other final trail sign that was evidently picked to be build for LISDOLA's new trail signs. The reason why they chose this design was because it is easy to build and disassemble while it is also very sturdy and easy to move. It can both be staked into place or set into the ground to be permanent.

Project 02: Landscape Monitoring Station
project descriptionFor my project i decided to create a scientific research center which would inturn be inserted into the side of Cleveland valcano located in Alaska. the reason I chose this volcano was because i wanted to find a way to pin the exact time and place of when a valcano might erupt, and what better volcano then the Cleveland volcano because ever since 1944 it has erupted almost every year.

The drawings in the slide show below are my study drawings that I used to help me produced my final design which is shown as the white paper in the slide show.
