What I've been trying to convey with each part of my building is more in line with a sense of personality and individuality. I designed everything in the building to feel like your delving into the layers of someones mind. First off with the disconnect between the building and the ground to give it the sense of being lifted into somebody's head. Walking up the stairs you see sharply angled roofing and vertically placed wood paneling to9 give an intense and serious look. When you enter you see the vast openness of the indoor area with varying angles everywhere. The living room is lined with three large windows to invite more light into the area and curved corners to soften the feel of the room. The workplace is placed next to a sharply cut angle to give a more clean facade to facilitate efficient and comfortable working. The kitchen and dining are grouped rather closely to make it feel a bit more personal a lot like that dingy old pub type of aesthetic. To get up to the loft you have to go up the spiral stairs which is accompanied by a floor to ceiling window to make the viewer have a feeling of ascending. The loft itself is cramped and separated to feel as homely as possible. And lastly the utilities and garage are somewhat sectioned off to symbolize the separation in my own mind of my negative emotions being bottled up.
