“Call me Diana, not
Princess Diana.”
Princess Diana was known as the People's Princess, she won the hearts of everyone she encountered. She was loved because of her passion and ability to surround others with security and hope. Diana was a member of the British royal family, she went through hard times but managed to push through the negativity and rise above. She spreads her positivity through one of the many charity events she participates in like the HIV/AIDS funds. Princess Diana will always be recognized by her kindness and her desire to help others. |

When making this memorial I wanted to focus on the hardships she faced while being secluded behind palace walls. I knew I wanted to incorporate a circular theme as it resembled who she was a person. I decided to add cylinders around the cube to represent her reaching out to the people around her and surrounding them. I’ve created them in different heights to let the public come towards them and be able to feel the water. Understanding that she is no longer here, others are now able to reach towards her themselves, which is why I made the cylinders this way. |
This is a Quick Look at what the surrounding buildings are. As well as things like the main road, surrounding towns, and where her childhood home is located.
|
This a preview of what I was hoping to create.

This shows the directions and space around my area and the distance from the town near-by as well as how far Dianas childhood home is.

Master Plan 1: In this plan the circle represents a glass sphere, there is a walkway connecting a lower area with the residence.
|
This building curves and the rooms come out of the sides, the walls are full glass and there is a dome located at the top of it, located upstairs is a play waterfall.
