Architecture- Miguel Tovar
Project 01- John Hejduk
This main point of this project was for it to demonstrate the introduction of architecture class. This project was inspired by the work of a famous architect known as John Hejduk. John Hejduk was a great inspiration for this project since he is a great example of how and why to think outside of the box. This project really helped to start off architecture because it teached us the basics. We were able to draw a layout of our project and build a hands on model.
Korean City Project
The whole idea of the korean city project was to develop a central city between north and south Korea. first we started off with simple sketches of the districts. We then moved on to our individual zones. We converted our sketches to an AutoCAD drawing and continued on. When we had a good idea of what our zones would look like, we proceeded into creating models. I made three different models of a clock tower to put in the middle of the district zone. this project has helped to gain a better understanding of architecture class.
The Final Project
As this project comes to an end, i would like to display the work that went into it all. For this project, I started out with the same sketches from the previous project. Then, I took it one step further and turned my sketches and ideas into a sketch-up model. The sketch up model gave me a better understanding of my building and how it can be interacted with. With this much knowledge and information of my building, I was ready to move into Revit. I created a more professional version of my building in this software. I was able to show a realistic view of my building. The next step was to bring my building to life. scaled anyways... I did this by creating a scaled model of the building and with help of the 3D printer.
