orion campbell: Architectural Design I

​Project 01: City Pavilion

in this this asment I was told to Chicago's grid into a pavilion. this made me go back to the history of chicago. And think what makas chicago.

while working on this asment I had to find facts and history of chicago. when finding facts I found chigos rivers and skyscrapers play a big role. and for history i found that chicago fire is big part of history so I put erosion in my module to represent it. so i included it all.

this is the east phase of the building

this is the enterar of the building the rooms and the hallways.

this is the beginning of my model.

this is the end of my work. this the model you can see the 2 hallways that lead you through the pavilion. and the rooms with seats plus the windows that give light through the hole pavilion. 

project 2

in my research i focused on wood and east texas. This process took a while because i was ignorant about east texas even though i live in texas. This turned out to be very interesting and gave me a caleg as i found out that i still have to plain for the future. So i mainly focused on wood and local forests.

in order to get to my cabin you must take the road and go off road to get to the cabin.

in the process of marking the cabin i knew i wanted water so my hole process went around the water. but you also don't make cabins out of water so i wanted a wood pattern to go all around the cabin. But one thing that make didn't make the final product was how played with the light of the building while the sun crossed the houses.

from the begging i knew i wanted a circle like the trees and something that represent inside nature as long as outside nature.
there is a big window at the back that shows off the rest of the forest and a second floor that makes you level with the trees like the birds. and a inside nature with the inside in a little garden in a glass room in the middle with no roof. and then i wanted to incorporate water in the my building by having the water come in the middle so that it flows down the glass and a river that goes through the garden. 

 the model truly shows my thought process by showing the river and garden. my final project has inside nature and outdoor nature while incorporating a circle tree like in my site analysis. the building has windows to show off everything this shows of everything i needed and wanted. By having a creek going through the center and trees around it.
