My name is Ivan, and this is my Geometric Word Study. I had to create an abstract geometric composition defining my word that was given to me using circles, triangles and diamonds. Another rule I had to take into consideration is that we had to balance the positive/negative (black/white) shapes and spaces on a 13" x 13" grid. |
For my next project I was given an location of one of the mount Vernon in the US and I had to put my fingerprint on a piece of paper and upload an image of it to the printer and from there I would print it out on an enlarged 10" x 10" piece of paper and put this yellow wax paper over it and select the contours that I wanted for my site. I also had to randomly generalize where my tree would go and where my sun rises and sets. |
For my bubble diagram I had to do extensive research on the plot of land I was given. I was given another yellow see through wax paper to express my ideas on how I would want my house to sit on my plot of land and some ways to include my word into the house and how I would want natural sunlight to come in. |
Now for my Site Analysis model we had to cut a 10” x 10” plate of cardboard into the shape of Site Analysis and cut the shape of my house out too. Then set it on the plot of land to have a hands on copy of our house and our Site Analysis and my house. |
