Karla A. Natividad: Architectural Design I
Project 01: Fibonacci Cube
In this project we were learning about the Golden Ratio and how it works. We were given a paper and an example and told to make a spiral out of the Golden Ratio measurements.
Landscape: Prairie
Prairies usually have little to no trees, and get very cold in the winter, and very hot in the summer. Prairies are just a lot of flat land with tons of flowers and generally tall plants.
Drawings and Models
We were told to create a design involving some of the numbers of the Golden Ratio, a 5x8, a 3x5, and a 2x3. The design had to match up and be useful to what our landscape was. Mine is a prairie then I have a lot of options since theres no water or something like that to constrict me.
With my model I aimed to make it stand out a bit so I made it vertical and very open at the top, and closed down at the bottom for shelter purposes. My drawing was kinda hard to do because its a lot of intersecting lines but it was fun to do in general.
