Project 01: Frank Lloyd Wright, Jacobs House
Frank Lloyd Wright Concept Drawing

Frank Lloyd Wright was born on June 8, 1867 in Richland Center, Wisconsin. His mother was a teacher and his father was a preacher and a musician. Wright moved around a lot as a kid living in Rhonde Island, Massachusetts, and Iowa before finally staying put in Madison, Wisconsin.
Wright spent his summers with his mothers family in spring green. Wright being a outdoor child he fell in love with the Wisconsin nature he explored at a young age. “The modeling of the hills, the weaving and fabric that clings to them, the look of it all in tender green or covered with snow or in full glow of summer that bursts into the glorious blaze of autumn," he later stated. "I still feel myself as much a part of it as the trees and birds and bees are, and the red barns."

Project 01A: Shipping Container Cabin
I had to take a shipping container and turn it into a house that reflects Frank Lloyd Wright. The requirements were I must include a deck or patio space for outdoor living, sleeping area (for two people), living room, kitchen with a sink, 2 burner cooktop, small undercounter refrigerator, food and utensil storage, dining area, desk/computer/media area, bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet. I also had to locate and design my container to take advantage of the sun, breezes and other climate characteristics.
Project 2:
For project two our teacher gave us a word and we had to interpret the word and design a house that represented the word. I got collide and faced many design challenges like how I was going to show a house colliding not only through the elevations, but through the floor plans too.
