PROJECT #1
WHY DETROIT??
Detroit Container house project is dedicated to help make good use of the emptying houses in Detroit. The city is dying at a rapid rate and with a rising debt of around 100 million dollars. Therefore, me and my class are trying to design houses with urban farming in order to help the families there live with a bit more hope and prosperity with home grown crops to enjoy.

The design for the container house consisted of one 20' and two 40' containers. they were simply stacked on top of each other so that it created a T like shape with floating peninsula. the house consisted of a master-bedroom with a full restroom. Also includes an office, living room, full kitchen, and a bunk bed room with a restroom. there will be parking space in the front. the house is located in the center of the neighborhood; therefore, the house is also located in the center of the site. the doors are traditional hinge doors.

FINAL MODEL AND SKETCHES
With some minor and major changes, the final model took shape. the overall shape of the house stayed the same. outside balcony on top of the floor was added with a slanted roof to catch water along with the other slanted roof on the right side of the house. the rainwater is to gather and fall into the back of the house where the water tanks are. the office upstairs will have open windows. laundry space was added in downstairs next to the kitchen. the stairs wont be spiral, but it will be just regular straight step stairs. The house is surrounded by fields in which the owner will have the freedom of growing crops on.

THE PROJECT "BRIDGE OF HOUSES" CONSISTS OF A NARCISSIST HOUSE. THE HOUSE WAS MEANT TO HAVE A CENTER ATTENTION KIND OF FEELING. SO I HAVE MADE THE INSIDE BEDROOM TO BE FLOATING MIDAIR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HOUSE TO SHOW THE "ALL ATTENTION TO ME" KIND OF FEELING. REST OF THE HOUSE WORKS AROUND THE CENTER FIGURE. THE BEDROOMS ARE UPSTAIRS, THE KITCHEN DOWNSTAIRS, THE BATHROOMS BOTH UP AND DOWNSTAIRS, AND STORAGE ROOMS BOTH UP AND DOWNSTAIRS AS WELL. THERE WILL BE NO STAIRS, BUT CIRCULAR ELEVATORS. THE TABLES AND RESTROOMS ARE CIRCULAR AS WELL. THE MAIN FIGURE SHAPE IN BUILDING THIS HOUSE WERE CIRCLES. THE HOUSE ITSELF IS VERY REVEALING WITH MANY WINDOWS AND EVEN A SEE THROUGH ROOF. THE FRONT FACE OF THE BUILDING IS AN AQUARIUM.
