Architect Study

In the past month we studied different and famous architects. For my architect I had to research the life and fame of Gustave Eiffel.  He was born on December 15th, 1832 in Dijon, France. He grew up without a prominent father figure. As an engineer. He designed many small bridges, but his first project that gained fame and reputation was the construction of the Bordeaux Bridge. Shortly after he helped with the making of the Statue of Liberty. About 2 years later he and his company get the project of the Eiffel Tower approved. Five years later and the Eiffel Tower is now the face of Paris.

Project 01: Fibonacci Cube

For this project we had to create a Fibonacci Spiral using the Golden Ratio which essentially means the numbers get bigger and bigger.starting off with two 1 x 2" squares then using Golden Ratio to get the next square that is 2 x 3", 3 x 5" 5 x 8" so on. Then you connect the corners of the square creating a spiral.

To further our knowledge of the Golden Ration we were tasked to create a space using cardboard measured out to a 2 x 3", 3 x 5", and a 5 x 8" pieces then put them together. We were required to make 3 different models then out of the 3 models choose the one you thing best fitted the next process of the project. Using the model I created a layout plan and 4 different types of elevations, then creating a 3 sketch of the model.

Project 02: Korean Duplex

For our second project we were tasked to create a duplex that North and South Korean families would share using our Fibonacci cube from Project 01. We used AutoCAD as our software to create Floor Plans, Elevations, and a Site Plan.
