TEAM ONE:
Site Analysis
The focus of the site analysis was to evaluate the space where the project is based. This includes both the surrounding areas and the natural elements already in the site. starting with the existing structures, there are factory buildings to the north as well as a road northwest, These areas are important to note as they could contribute to noise pollution. Moving on to the weather, the wind is consistently coming through the south throughout the year and the sun crosses diagonally to the site. Moving on to geographic features, the topography is relatively level, with little change In height even in relation to the river, which is not prone to flooding nor is it too deep. In addition, there is an existing trail near the natural divide between the site and the existing buildings. The site overall is covered in trees and natural vegetation.
Master planThe master plan consist of two general spaces dedicated to the community and the private residents on the site, and outlines the places within those areas. The area geared for the community, including a farmers market, auditorium, shop, and a space for people to learn certain crafts, is placed towards the main road to provide easier access and connection to the space around the site. Then the private area, which includes the resident houses and area for the specialty craftsmen to work, is placed further to the south to avoid noise pollution and improve privacy. Included are two separate parking lots, private and public, to allow the mix of the spaces to work smoothly for the people there. lastly, In order to create a unity throughout the site despite the separate areas, the area where the community can learn craft with the space where the residents create their craft, are joined into one overall structure.

AmphitheaterThe amphitheater is an area where people could play music in order to draw the community in, as well as being able to show the craft of music through instruments. This area will be blended into the natural environment around it by using the elements that are naturally there, such as the grass and stone, to create the structures themselves. This allows the space to be sustainable and reduce the effect of construction.

Farmers MarketThe Farmers market is used as an attraction for the community by selling natural products that both contribute to encouraging the preservation of nature as well as showcase the craft of cooking. In this space people can buy produce as well as ready to go food, and enjoy sitting down with a meal. The structure itself allows the space to have little destruction on the environment by allowing grass to remain below the structure and using sustainable products in the walls such as steel sheets made from old containers.
