I was inspired by the traditional cross beam/ cross brace design of a tri bearing setup. Tri bearing structure is commonly used in support beams on suspension bridges, aircraft hangars, and pillars. I planned to integrate this into Luna's project hospital. This type of strucure allows free ventelation of the roof, and allows air to pass through thespaces.of the beams.
Elevated Roof The elevated roof is a plan which I had
collaborated with Luna. We had planned to crate a roof which is not only resistant to sand corrosion, but one which can be welded to the structure. We had found that we could easily bolt the vinyl he aluminium beams, and also weld/ fuse the vy to the aluminum.
Beams/ cross brace
On the first projects I had created. 45, 45, 90 degree structure. I had planned to use the 54, 45, 90 degree structure because the pressure is balanced, and centered throughout the structure.
Material wise, I had planned to piv pipes for a very adaptive reason. With PVC pipes, You can fill it with anything, including plate mounted sand, in order to create a more dense weight on the bottom, and on the top, You can fill it with wiring/ smaller piping for electric/ water use. The PVC may crack over time, so I was planning to use , ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate, or silicone adhesive to attach the arm connectors to the pipe structure. Also I was planning to outer coat the pvc with matte latex aerosol spray paint in order to prevent drying and cracking in the pvc.
