Project 1: State Park Building
I got a project that I had to pick a state park and build a building of my choice. I choosed the state park Isle Du Bois of lake rarobern.
My building was a small boat craft learning center. With canoes and kayaks the main boats used there. We had to create something that looks good and works well. That is based on the wall(s) of the building. We had to look at the wall not only as a structure peace but as a way of making the building look good. It also had to connect to nature.

Research and Study:
We had to research all about the place and the building we needed. I had to research the wildlife ,history about the place, the plants, landscape, what is required for the building. Like for me I had to know the boat sizes. We also had to study Mies and Mondrian and their works. We learned that their works are similar. The works of art at the time were squares and rectangles mostly on the paper. There was a shade on the back groaned of the shapes on the edge of the paper going kindof to to center. We had to make art and floor plans for the work type they did. This is some of what I did.
My Beginning Work:
Sketch and Design Work
These are some of my very early sketches I did.
Mid Range Design Work
This is some of where I got my ideas for my final design.
Late Design Work
As you can see I had unnecessary rooms and amount of rooms. I took with the charcoal drawing the docs attached to the building and design what I have here.
Model Building:
when the time came I made my first models as shown below. I started with a flat roof then i whent to angle to the ends of the building to suggest the length of the building continued. the way the angled roof slopes to the point that it does is because it separates the storage in the building from the classroom and the docs.
Final Product:
End Drawings
As explained in some of my design process. I have the roof angled that way so to separate the different parts of the building. The roof slopes up to the ends of the building to suggest the length continues on. The walls also separates the different parts of the building into stages of learning. From book work to gathering materials to finally doing it yourself. The angles of the overhang is to shade the windows. Especially the afternoon which is the hottest part of the day in the area. The west wall which is the far left wall has a opening to give light during the winter. It does not necessarily reflect what is really going on. I plan on making it like a garage door but not with electric controlled. It will be had lifted because it would be energy efficient. Why not like i have it in the drawings? Because it would not be used because no one sees it there. The plants is to show the continuing of the walls and I put in relations to Mies's and Mondrian's work.
Final Model:
I made it in resemblance of my final drawings.

Project 2 - Massion Domino House:
Design Process:
I first came up with ideas that were running through my head. Then went to more meaningful ideas. They were like the massion domino house and I layered it like a cake. One floor was social, next private, and finally the work floor. I had to versions of that idea. I then saw someone with the bridge and two building on either side. I just stuck with the cake layer idea. in making the final design the second floor had to much space and not a lot of rooms.

Final Design:
The first floor is mainly the social areas. The second floor is sleeping areas for guest and the owners. It also has a yoga studio that takes up half the space of the second floor. For the future towns folks classes with the wife. under it is the gurage. the yoga studio is open up to the sky and leads to the third floor. Which is mostly open except the few rooms in the floor. the floor is a work/hobie floor. Finally the fourth floor is composed mainly of an observatory and one small storage room with some curvature in it as detail. there is a pool out back of the house.
