Bird House Project

Client Poster

Overview

    In this project we were instructed to create a birdhouse for a randomly selected bird. We created concept sketches, elevations, floor plan, along with practice models and a final model.
    This was the first project we had that made us use critical thinking skills and challenge our creativity

Concept Sketches

In these concept sketches I explored different designs for a bird house for my client. I was going back in forth with a hanging nest and a attached nest, but I eventually went with the hanging nest

Elevations Floor Plan Parti

These are the elevations, floor, plan, and parti for my hanging bird house design. I based this design off of the Fibonacci sequence. A formula that occurs naturally in nature creating the spirals for flowers and trees. This created the three floors for my bird and also created the shape for my bird house.

Craft College Project : Deans Residence

Overview

This project was a project across every class in tech easts architecture program. The year three students constructed a craft college for textiles, metalworking, and culinary. The year two students designed and made the buildings for each of those crafts. Our jobs were to design the deans residence located at the Old Alton Bridge in Denton. Our goal was to create a residence for the dean that represented the craft college and met our clients needs.

 This is my final poster with my elevations, floor plan, site plan, and parti. My design has three segments like the 3 different crafts taught at the college. The main idea or this design was the three segments and incorporating terraces, because my client loves nature
