​Project 01 - Birdhouse

I was assigned to build a birdhouse designed specifically for the barn swallow, which has a particular preference for nesting in man-made structures.
​I immediately had the idea of a very open structure, that still provided protection from the elements. The final design demonstrates the intricacies and handmade qualities of craft, with a complex and uniform layout.

Project 02 - Dean’s Residence

This project was the first time that the concept of craeft was introduced to me. I really liked the industry of metalworking, and I wanted my design to take inspiration from that.
My designs consistently used large, industrial buildings that display the precision and strength represented by the craft of metalworking.
