Fisher House
Fisher House
This is the Program diagram of Louis Khan's famous Fisher House in which you can say are two boxes. But the square is tilted 45 degrees and and the rectangle is connected to the square. Which are separated into the square being the private zones. The rectangle is the living zone which can be living room ,kitchen, etc.
Parti diagram of the Fisher house, . I separated them which the square was the private zones and separated in four little squares which are bedrooms. The rectangle is the living zone which can be living spaces in the house.
This is the Floor Plan of the House I worked on in which you can see and look at the way the first floor is set up to be. The house has a remarkable fire place in the living space area. You can see how Louis Kahn used his creative mind and made basic shapes into something more than that.
The Elevation of the house was something new to me in which we could see how it lined up with the floor plan to be completed. Here you see the side of the house which the house was made of wood and the bottom of it is raised by stone.
This is the Perspective Drawing where you can see how the house is set to be from a perspective. I worked on this using the floor plan, which lined everything down. Its amazing how much you can do with a floor plan.
On this project I made it in the purpose to show how Louis Khan used geometry in his work. I added pieces of his work in the drawing and added different elements of color and materials to make this a good representation of what Louis Khan was as an architect.
PROJECT 2 NINTH WARD

Starting out the project I began collecting ideas and trying to put them together to make a house for someone or a family with low income. So I wanted to make something small but really nice. At the beginning I wanted to make a dome like structure but decided to make it something simple which was square or rectangular shape. I was inspired by Louis Khan fisher house and at first I wanted two boxes separating the private and public places. Here are one of my study models and sketches to come up with a small house that is a two story. This project's goal was to make a small safe living space for someone that lives in New Orleans, Ninth Ward, where there had been destruction from a strong hurricane years ago. We wanted to keep the house at a low cost that someone that their social standard is low could afford.
dESIGN
I began making my design from my last sketch and made it on the computer.I rose the house off the floor about 6 feet to protect them from floods making it safer for the people.I wanted this house to be more for people that like being inside rather than outside. I went with a much smaller house which ended up being 16 by 36 feet. Being 576 sf.
