HI
For 18 weeks, the assignments were to design a bird house and a bridge house, both designed to interpret the purpose of "Craeft".
Project I: BIRD HOUSE
The first nine-weeks were spent learning and utilizing the base skills of an architect. Which are, hand drafting, building a client profile, and model building.

Study models of bird house for the Greater Roadrunner.

Model 2 (right): Took inspiration from first model to fabricate a more modern design. This model took second place to my chosen model

The official model of my bird house design, intended for the Greater Roadrunner.
This design was chosen as the final product due to the many architectural choices that were made, considering both the bird's qualities and the purpose of "craeft".
The main qualities of the bird that influenced this model is their travel by foot (not flying) and mating for life. The model includes ramps, perches, and a large nesting area that is able to fit two birds.

Project II: DEAN'S RESIDENCE
The last nine-weeks were spent designing a craft college's dean residence. The site we were given is Old Alton Bridge in Denton, TX. Throughout the weeks, we visited the site, fabricated our dean's, designed their residence set on the bridge, and presented it to our peers at an exhibition. Another task that ties into this assignment is to use the previous bird and bird house design to incorporate relations with the dean.

Many images featured on the collage represent my client's qualities and persona. The client/dean was fabricated to be pescatarian, unmarried, active, elderly, bold (represented in her outfit), a glass worker, and obsessed with goldfish. This assortment helped me design an estate that fits my dean as a whole.
The three images above are a study model of a design that was planned to be finalized. One notable problem of this design was the fact that the residence was for a single occupant with occasional visitors. The protruding spaces on each side of structure would have totaled an excessive amount of square footage.
Below is my final presentation poster, the elements presented show the final digital drafts of my project.
