What is Craft?
Craft can be defined as a hand made object or occupation that requires skill or precision. I see it as  skill you have that you can imply into a Job or activity.

​Project One: Bird's Residence

Concept Sketches 

Concept 01
For my first concept, I focused on the movement of the Brown Creeper. on this design I made it posted on a metal post with wood texture to add grip to allow the bird to climb. I additionally added a extension in the back for nesting.

Concept 02
For my second concept, I wanted to focus on the environment of the brown creeper and its habitat. that being said, I located this residence posted up high on a tree for the bird to climb up to from the bottom and nest within it to make a nest in the bark inside of the residence.

The Client
My client is the Brown Creeper. So I used the Characteristics from the Brown Creeper to implement into my design for this residence. I wanted to mainly focus on the behavior of climbing up trees to put into my design.

Elevations and Partis
​I evidently chose the concept of the second one and refined flaws and adjusted sizes and measurement. After deciding a design, I created Partis and elevations on velum.

Final Model
My final model is my design elevations combined into a 1/4 scale model of the bird house.

​Project Two: Old Alton Bridge Residence

The Client
The client I made for this project is a male who lives alone with a cat and occasional visitors. he is the dean for the college nearby and majors in welding. 

Concept Sketches
These concept sketches are made to show the craft of welding and the sleek design of metal. The first design was a lengthy. clean design focused of space and open areas. the second design was more conserved and was shorter but extended out from the bridge. The last design was the two combined to give sort of a cabin feel to it.

Floor plans
I decided to choose the sleek design from them and create a new layout to fit all off the necessities of my client.

Elevations
For the outside of my house. I mainly used metal for the design with sleek metal sheets on the side of a wall. I additionally added concrete and wood for an additional detail.
