​BIRD HOUSE PROJECT 01

For our first project we had to provide a residence for a bird assigned by the professor and using a chinese lattice design of your choice. Since we are first year students this project was introduced so we can learn the fundamentals without worrying about advanced solutions yet.
Having to provide a residence for a bird instead of a human forces us to step outside of the box and learn how to adapt our creations to the clients preferences with set requirements and creative resolutions.

PROJECT SUMMARY 

For this project i was assigned a barn swallow. For this client i needed to include how it enjoys to fly, stays in tight spaces.

The elevations follow the silhouette of the chinese lattice tile and provides a geometric abstract look and tight spaces to nest in.

The side of this residence will have a 12 foot pole on the ground so the client can fly for its prey and convenience.

FINAL PROJECT

The last nine weeks we were given the assignment to "customize" our dean and design a residence for the Craeft College dean on the old alton bridge in denton tx. 

This collage represents my client personality. 

The warm tone of the pictures says my client is a warm and calm person.
My client specializes in wood carving and preferes a modern house.

In my elevations i wanted i wanted to incorporate his love for wood carving, so i added hatching to represent wood carvings.

My client has a spouse and 2 children; one in college.
