PROJECT 01:
For the first project of the semester, I learned the uses of form and space using binary diagrams, specifically the binary relationship of centers and margins. The process is shown under...
PRELIMINARY DRAWING:
The first step through my thought process for this project came through this drawing before starting the project. Here I drew four binary relationships and the relationship between center and margin stood out to me because of the starting of a geometric equilateral cube with a precise center.
FINAL PROJECT DRAWING:
The next step after deciding which binary relationship to represent (center:margin) I did a design outline on velum paper. In the drawing I used the three basic geometric shapes, circles, squares, and triangles to show multiple representations of center and margin interacting. (I also used different drawing materials to test textures and blending and such,)
FINAL PROJECT MODEL
The next step was to construct a model that reflects the binary relationship and the 2-D outline in the last step. I first stuck to the basic 6x6 cube shape. After I used three sides for the three shapes in the design. I also made a 3-D effect on each side to give more dimension and magnify the center margin relationship. Finally I gave a nice smooth base for my model.
FINAL PROJECT SKETCH UP DRAWING:
Finally for this project I did a professional design of my model in the Sketchup program. This gave more structure and precision in the model. Also it allowed viewers to see different angles and aspects by cutting the model in different views.

PROJECT 02:
For the second and final project of the semester, I was given a realistic property space (including neghbors) and a client(including a description. With this project I was able to learn as I go building a fuctioning and sustainable home for my client like in the real world. I learned from running into real life problems and create ideas and solutions and with that below I show my process under...
MY CLIENT:
For this project I recieved The Plumber as my client, so below I provided a poster type blog of my client showing all his likes and dislikes and the type of person he is. With this information I was able to design his home to compliment the Plumber and his lifestyle more.
PRELIMINARY WORK:
SKETCHUP STUDIES
For my first sketchup model (right) I started with the basic structure of my second Study Model.
For my second sketchup model (left) I designed the proper site plan and alter the original model to creat more unique spaces and interactions for my client
For my second sketchup model (left) I designed the proper site plan and alter the original model to creat more unique spaces and interactions for my client
STUDY MODELS
Study Model #1:
My first study model I gave myself no limitations and I tried to make a variety of open spaces for my client to watch the rain. |
Study Model #2:
For my second study model I focused on the site plan and property I had to work on and created a baic shape/outline idea for the house. |
Study Model #3:
For my third study model I tried to think of ways my client could interact with water and came up with whirling cones and slanted roofs to alter the natral water flow. |
FINAL WORK:
FINAL REVIT MODEL:
For the Final Revit desugn I illustrated my final model showing the floor plans of the first and second level, the elevation view of the north and south (front and back) angle of my house while the east and west are blocked by my neighbors, a 3D view of the over all home and finally the site plan.
FINAL PROJECT MODEL:
For my final prject model I created the basic lot property gived and focused on my clean craftmanship on proper rooms, widoes and doors. I overall gave the first story of the basic house needs my attention and created the second floor as an acessory.
