Bryan Enabulele Architecture 1

Craeft: An activity involving the skill of making things by hand. Throughout my time in this class I learned many things, whether it was time management or developing skills to make me a better architect, they all led to where I am right now. ​

SKETCHES: In the beginning of this class we were assigned to make weekly sketches. These sketches helped us build confidence in our drawings, make us better artists, and helped us understand the importance of managing our time. 

PROJECT 01
AXONOMETRIC: Using or designating an orthographic projection of an object, such as a building, on a plane inclined to each of the three principal axes of the object; three-dimensional but without perspective. For our first project we learned many things, how to draw to scale in elevation and floor plan, how to use a T-square and triangle, and how to use the laser printer. This project was quite challenging but it was the stepping stone for more assignments to come.

PROJECT 02
Bird House: We were tasked to build a home for our "client" under certain conditions located on the Old Alton bridge in Denton. By far this was my favorite assignment because it not only encouraged creativity but also allowed for us to understand the meaning of craft and gather research. My client was the Limpkin, a large wading bird who lived in damp areas. To encompass its needs I placed its home underneath the bridge and to better understand the idea of implicating craft into our work, I made my residence with only 5 shapes adding my lattice square from a recent project as well.

PROJECT 03
Dean Residence: For our third and final project, Dr. Cox assigned us to not only develop our own client and then fulfill such needs for them, but to also build the house located on the Old Alton Bridge. This project was kind of a continuation of our previous project except for the fact that we were going to be creating for a human being. Lots of designing and thought went into the process of building a residence for our created client. My favorite part about this project though, was the fact that we got to actually see the bridge in real life, making the process all so rewarding when I had finished.
